The Monster (2021)

“The Monster” tells the story of young Cathy and her conjured up monster with an appetite for people. Fun at first, things take a turn for the worse when the monster’s appetite turns uncontrollable.

Cathy (Teele Valdlo), the daughter of a waspish mother (Katariina Ratasepp), conjures up a monster (Mart Müürisepp) to “take care” of all the people that have wronged her. It starts with the mother, continues with the old bat next door (Mari Lill) and even catches up with the icecream man (Timo Lipp). Things take a turn for the worse when the hunger-deranged monster insists on eating Cathy’s best friend Thomas. Cathy tries to stop this and sure enough ends up being eaten by the monster herself. Realizing that it has eaten it’s master, the monster blows up with a loud bang, leaving behind a neighbourhood of silence and regret.
