Plot summary

A duel of egos between two generations of clowns.

Eno (Toomas Tross) is a strict self-centered circus clan leader where his wife Bata (Helena Merzin-Tamm) and a crew of young talents help with the performances. Eno’s clan has a special tradition: The leader’s shoes are passed to the new leader, generation after generation. The circus faces a series of economical problems and needs a new leader. Eno is not ready to give up his throne, not even to his own son who he despises.
In a rehearsal, Eno's son, Beto (Stefan Hein) appears on the stage. Eno starts to break Beto's will, humiliating him in front of the clan, awakening in Beto his own insecurities. Beto Leaves the circus blaming his mother for the situation.
While driving in anger, Beto decides to go back to the circus to face his father in front of the audience. He crashes the circus show and faces his father. The circus trembles and the audience claps, but at the stage, no one smiles.
