Weekend Warriors (2019)

‘Weekend Warriors" is a short documentary following a young woman’s understanding of her own dual identity. There is an excepted fear of invasion from Russia to the border of the EU. Word of mouth scaremongering, the army and the media depict a situation where Estonia needs to protect themselves from Russia. However, What does that mean for the citizens who are both Russian and Estonian? Many young citizens voluntarily train every weekend at The Estonian Defence League on the border in Narva. Their identities can be questioned when they are attempting to protect the country they live in from the language they speak.
