Hold Onto Me (2019)

The film follows the journey of the European Choir of Estonians to the 150th Song and Dance Celebration in Estonia through the eyes of two main characters. Conductor Elo Tammsalu-Schmitz left Estonia 20 years ago because of love. At the annual choir camp in Bonn, she is faced with a real professional challenge  - the choir which only meets twice a year needs to learn the Song Festival repertoire in two days. Her German husband Hartmut also sings in the choir. It is because of love that he has learned Estonian, but now he has to work hard to learn the songs in a foreign language. He continues his efforts at their home in Aachen, whilst Elo cannot quite shake off the conductor role.  Whether it was all worth it will be revealed at the Song Celebration.
