Sculptor Mare Mikof goes to Kaarma quarry to choose dolomite megaliths for her future sculptures. So begins the creative process. The filmmakers follow Mikof's first acquaintance with the rock - it starts from a kind touch by the artist's hand to extremely difficult hammering action. However, the most interesting creative process is not visible in the film - that is when the sculpture starts to have a specific appearance and form. At the end of the film one can see other sculptures created by Mare Mikof.
