The Moon (1999)

In his deathbed, surgeon Jonathan Kaufman confesses a secret to the priest. Kaufman has not told anyone about it for the last twenty years. West Africa, the year 1972. After an emergency landing, an airplane is in the middle of a vast desert. Three men have survived: pilot Jonas von Richthoffen, navigator Abraham Holland and surgeon Jonathan Kaufman. All communications have been destroyed in fire, the men have lost touch with the outer world. Within one month, their water supply is about to run out. The last time they ate was on the day of landing when there were caviar and lobsters. All three are in despair and mad with hunger. Surgeon Kaufman gets an idea about the only possible solution how to escape dying from hunger.
