Roosenberg is a place, a space, a building, a film. Roosenberg is a letter that tells of director's encounter with four elderly nuns in a fascinating monastery in Waasmunster, Belgium, before that building was vacated. For several months, director of the film followed four women who belong to the core community of Marian Sisters of St. Francis in Dom Hans van der Laan’s Monasterium and captured the everyday communal life of the sisters, their religious practice and final departure, in order to tell the story of modernist architecture.
