In September 1991 Baltic Federation in Canada held a festive dinner in Westin Harbor Castle Hotel in Toronto in order to celebrate the restoration of independence of the Baltic states. More than 800 participants were present, including Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians, members of Canadian government and parliament, city advisers of Toronto. Michael Wilson, Canadian Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Foreign Trade gives an interview to TV channels where he talks about the government's plan to allocate 10 million dollar credit to every republic in order to improve the economy and banking of the Baltic states.
