Estonian National Male Choir concert in the Convocation Hall of Toronto University (1) (1989)

Estonian National Male Choir gave its first concert to the foreign Estonian audience in Canada, in the Convocation Hall of Toronto University in spring 1989. The concert has been recorded in video by Edgar Väär, the video consists of different sections.
In this section the choir comes to the stage, accompanied by the applause of the audience. Roman Toi is greeting the choir on the stage, the audience in the concert hall is applauding Gustav Ernesaks who is sitting in the hall. Roman Toi introduces conductors of the male choir - Olev Oja, Kuno Areng, Arvo Volmer. The concert begins with the Heroic Choral Poem written by Villem Kapp, conducted by Olev Oja. Gustav Ernesaks gives his gratitude to the audience in front of the stage. The song by Aleksander Kunileid "Until death" follows. This recording is the first part of the concert.
