Latvian Independence Day

Honorary Consul General of Latvia Guntis Silinš invites the crowd standing outside in the rain inside of the university. There is a big common singing in the great hall of Toronto University. Latvian choirs are singing. Laas Leivat, the chairman of the central council of Canadian Estonians, gives his gratitude to Estonians for having come to celebrate the independence day of Latvia. Vytautas Bireta, representative of Lithuanian community, holds a welcoming speech. The film shows excerpts from speeches held in front of the Toronto University.
