Baltic Evening 1/8 - Michael Wilsonʹs speech

In September 1991 Canada Baltic Union held a festive dinner in Westin Harbor Castle Hotel in Toronto in order to celebrate the restoration of independence of the Baltic states. More than 800 participants were present, including Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians, members of Canadian government and parliament, city advisers of Toronto. Bob Rae, Prime Minister of Ontario and Michael Wilson, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Foreign Trade hold their speeches (the film shows the speeches in full length). A few days ago they have signed the documents of restoring diplomatic relations between Canada, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
