The documentary about the restoration of independence of Estonia and Estonian War of Independence is based on texts between the film frames, photographs, materials filmed by a Danish volunteer who took part in the War of Independence and a newsreel by Eesti Kultuurfilm about the military parade for celebrating the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia in 1939. Rare frames about Tartu, Tallinn, soldiers who took part in the War of Independence, arrival of the wounded from the front, prisoners of war, Russian war refugees, life in the conquered Pihkva, armoured cars heading towards the front etc.
