During the 1930s great depression Stalin invites all the workers of the world to come build a new society based on justice, equality and freedom. More than 10.000 Americans answers this call. One of them is Jussi Ketola, an American with Finnish origins. However, the dream of a communistic paradise is quickly shattered when Jussi is harassed by fascist thugs on one side and the Soviet secret police on the other.
