Gold Spider

The first Estonian film with the recorded sound, advertised as a song-sound film. The film is about the visit of the expatriate Estonian man and his daughter to their homeland. The man has become well-off in USA, the land of dry law. When they arrive at Estonia and search for exciting activities, they'll find the harbour tavern called The Gold Spider. Then the story will unravel with singing, instrument play and uplifting alcoholic drinks. It was prohibited to show the film to the young audiences because of the tavern scenes as well as alcohol and tobacco advertising in the film.
