Documentary film „Three Jewels“ tells the story about hopes and dreams of three Cambodian women of different generations. They are all connected by the same passion – the passion for traditional Khmer dharma chanting/Smot chanting. Our main character Srey Oun is a 35-year-old woman who has stayed single, and given up her dream of studying traditional music in Phnom Penh, to stay with her old parents and help them with backbreaking household works. 25 year-old Srey Pov, on the other hand, has it all – she is a famous Smot chanter and owns a business that enables her to support ...
