Karl, a high school student, lives with his father, whom he sees rarely. He talks about his father a lot to his friends at school, bragging about their holiday plans and his father’s success in business. Karl is arrogant, proud and a bully to those he sees as poor. When his father suddenly disappears and it turns out that he has been found guilty of tax fraud, his world collapses. Karl is alone. He is devoid of his wealth and his friends.
