Many want to break out of the consumer society but few do it as radically as Jim and Maarja. They have established their home amidst the forest of Lahemaa, Estonia, using recycled materials, growing their own food and producing their own electricity. The summer has passed building with the help of volunteers and several odd structures are taking shape. But the weather gets colder and their self-made solar panels stop producing current. The film follows Jim and Maarja throughout the first winter. Which is stronger – the ideals or Estonian winter?
