The Annual Ring (1974)

A child's voice in the film: "When a tree gets a year older, it will grow a new ring on its trunk. The rains and droughts, storms and sunny days – everything has been written in the ring. Every day that has been lived fully leaves a mark in us." The summer and activities of Estonian children throughout one year. The filmmakers observe young film amateurs in a summer camp in Paatsalu, in Tartu House of Pioneers, in Tõravere observatory, the gathering of the student league. Together they visit Krabi forest district in Paganamaa and the student exhibition in Tallinn. The film is from the series "Children of the Soviet Union".
