Alex Prior was born in 1992 in London to an English father and a Russian mother. Even as a child he was being called “a little Pavarotti” or “a little Mozart” because of his angelic voice and his composition skills. Alex completes his first composition aged eight and enters the St. Petersburg Conservatory aged 13, where he graduates in the composition and conducting master classes in 2010, aged 17. It is his mother in particular who pushes her son's career: She arranges concerts with leading orchestras in Russia and England, she admonishes him to practise and negotiates his contracts. And ...
