Huviinfo

Almost everyone has dreamt of winning the lottery. Every week, tens of thousands of people buy lottery tickets, hoping that they will the be the lucky ones this time. Sometimes they will ... By the time of filming “Jackpot”, Estonia had 76 lottery millionaires plus lots of those who had won jackpots. Yet, almost all of them are afraid of media's attention. The film is telling us that because of their envious minds, Estonians tend to hide their victory from their friends, relatives and sometimes even from family members. Luckily, two winners agree to introduce themselves – the main characters of the film. Urve, a beginner in lottery, bought her ticket instinctively – something told her to buy it. She won 8.6 million Estonian kroons that considerably improved her family's living conditions. Rudolf, on the contrary, has been playing lottery for years, and has finally won more than 700.000 Estonian kroons from the local Viking Loto jackpot. Having worked hard his whole life as a farmer, this is an exceptionally big sum of money for him. What has happened to Urve and Rudolf and their money by now? Filmmakers are happy to see that the money has gone to the right people.
