Lucia leads a carefree life in a small town of Estonia but her grades at school are not that good so the teachers are worried. Lucia's father Kaido is a graveyard keeper and repairs cars in the meantime; her mother Maria has lost her job and since then been drinking with her unemployed friends. Neither of them has time to help Lucia with her school. The child protection inspector is about to check their case when the family is unexpectedly invited to visit a Finnish family.
