Inge Tederi maailm (2007)

Documentary Duration 30:00

Sünopsis

Art historian Inge Teder (1931-2015) was the head of the Art Museum of Estonia for twenty five years. She started this job in mid-1960s that was a complicated period both for the society as well as for the art museum.
Several classic artists from the first Republic of Estonia, especially art by expatriate Estonians, was inadvisable back then. The influences of formalism were seen in young artists' work at that time. As a clever diplomatist, Inga Teder could skilfully navigate the corridors of power and most of the times she got what she wanted. During Teder's leadership, the number of artwork in the art museum collections was considerably increased; artists and collectors often donated their work as a present; and the state allocated money to the museum for artwork purchasing.
