Phantom (2010)

The documentary follows the moments and hikes of Hando Runnel in Estonia, in the summer of 2009. The places are more or less connected to local history or cultural history, starting from the birth place of Villem Reiman in Kolga-Jaani ending with the cafe of the University of Tartu. When leaving for his explorations, Runnel takes along (either physically or mentally) people who are influential for him - Uku Masing, Hendrik Adamson, Jüri Matjus, Hannes Varblane, Vello Salum, Peeter Olesk and others. The excerpts that can be seen and heard in the documentary reveal Runnel's mentality to the depths. This, by the way, was the secret purpose of director Andres Sööt when he took his camera and accompanied Runnel during his expedition on a beautiful summer day.
