On the basis of interviews held with Grigori Kromanov´s (1926 – 1984) family, schoolmates, friends, colleagues, co-fighters and opponents, and using extracts from films, Jüri Sillart has produced a psychological and creative documentary portrait about the film and theatre director who never ceased to seek his place in the world. Based on these recollections an image about a talented, human, kind, honest, restless and uncompromising man will be made, a portrait of someone as a prisoner stuck between two different culture; however, whose heart belonged to only one of them.
