He was in charge of Estonian Youth Theatre 1974 - 1986, Ugala Theater 1989 - 1991 and 1986 - 1995 Drama School of Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Till his death in 2017 he was the professor of University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy. You can see his students remembering him and his last interviews in documentary “Koma”.
