Traven is a French pilot who finds a bejeweled chest in an Indochinese Buddhist temple during a military operation at the beginning of 1950s and takes it to Europe. Thirty years later, Traven follows the instructions on the map found from the chest and goes on an expedition together with Polish Orientalist Jan Tarnas to the Valley of Thousand Snakes. In the jungle they will be accompanied by Christine, a charming journalist who has dangerous connections. Soon they will be chased by dark forces and angry snakes.
