Kaido Ole (1998)

The documentary follows the birth of painter Kaido Ole's (b. 1963) new work. Filmmakers show discourse and commentaries on Ole's work and working process by the artist himself and painter Jaan Elken. Kaido Ole has studied design and painting at the Estonian Academy of Arts. He has held numerous personal and group exhibitions both in Estonia and abroad, including representation of Estonia at the Venice biennale with Marko Mäetamm in 2003. In 1998, Ole was awarded Kristjan Raud annual art prize; he has also obtained the annual award of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia twice.
