Developing androids has theoretically reached the point where these could be mass-produced. It must be tested first whether androids can be preferred to human beings since robots are free from human weaknesses. In order to prove this, navigator Pirx must complete a space flight together with a crew where there are robots among human beings, in order to get the neutral evaluation of everyone's abilities.
