Memorial church service of expatriate Latvians in Canada in Toronto St. Andrew's Church for commemorating the victims on barricades in January 1991. The service starts with the prayers held by the archbishop and church ministers in front of the altar. Future president of the Republic of Latvia, Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga (simultaneous translation), holds a speech. She sharply criticizes Gorbachev's politics that enabled to turn armed forces against peaceful civilians that is contrary to the international law.
