Reporter from the TV channel CBC News is holding a phone interview with an expatriate Latvian girl from Canada who happened to be in the line of fire in central Riga on January 20, 1991. The girl tells the interviewer how she joined the peaceful civilians at the barricades and when the OMON special forces started to shoot people then people tried to run away and hide somewhere.
